Keynote Speakers

The 2024 IRE will be host to two different keynote speakers. On February 6, Zack Kass, Former Head of Go-to-Market at OpenAI, will share insights from his 14 years navigating the evolving AI landscape, demystifying AI to empower businesses of all sizes. Kass is a firm advocate of the idea that AI can be a game-changer for local governments, equipping them with tools that could redefine community service. On February 7, Liza Hausman, Vice President of Industry Marketing at Houzz, will share the five mega consumer trends driving home improvement and her latest research on massive macro-trends. Hausman hopes that attendees will come away with a better understanding of their customers and prospects, and what the customers want for their homes as well as from the renovation experience with their contractors.

If it’s your first time attending IRE, don’t forget to attend the First-Time Attendees Reception on Tuesday, February 6, at 5:30 PM. You’ll hear from the industry, including the NRCA, other attendees, manufacturers, and IRE show organizers, so you know what to expect when the doors open. The First-Time Attendees Reception was created for roofing professionals who have never attended IRE so they can make the most of all the networking events, education, exhibits, and resources at the show.

Plan to attend this year’s Welcome Party on Tuesday, February 6, at 6:00 PM. Get the IRE Welcome Party started as we celebrate the opening day of the 2024 International Roofing Expo. Connect with your fellow attendees during an evening of conversation, networking, and fun. The IRE Welcome Party will feature drinks, appetizers, and a local band. There will be entertainment during dinner and multiple opportunities to meet other people within the roofing industry.

The Metal Roofing Clinic will offer three days of hands-on learning as well as demonstrative activities in metal roof installation and repairs, where industry experts will walk attendees through the benefits, methods, and types of materials used in metal roofing installation. The metal roofing segment is projected to experience the most rapid pace of annual growth as demand for metal shake, shingle, and tile roofing is forecasted to expand as the demand for durable materials increases and homeowners gravitate towards more sustainable options with better performance.

“The Metal Roofing Alliance (MRA) and Metal Construction Association are excited to be leading on-floor installation training at IRE 2024. The use of metal roofing in both residential and non-residential buildings is on the rise. In fact, the MRA has seen growth in residential metal roofing year over year for the last several years, putting metal roofing at 18% market share in 2022, second only to asphalt,” said Renee Ramey, Executive Director of the MRA.

Once again, the local chapter of Rebuilding Together will partner with the IRE to give back to the local community by participating in the Community Service Day’s home renovation project, sponsored by Sika® Sarnafil®. Help us revitalize Las Vegas and give back to the local community by participating in the 15th Annual Community Service Day Project. This year you can participate by volunteering in Las Vegas, donating, and sharing the project with others. Over 50 volunteers from across the country will assist homeowners with critical repairs before attending the world’s largest roofing convention. These home repairs help ensure the safety and health of low-income Las Vegas residents in need, including families with young children, seniors, and people with disabilities. Interested companies can sign up to volunteer when registering to attend the IRE, and the registration fee will include transportation, breakfast, lunch, and beverages.

For even more information regarding registration, visit www.theroofingexpo.com or call (866) 860-1970. This year’s IRE is an unbeatable way to learn new skills, make powerful connections, and just plain have fun. We hope to see all of you in Las Vegas in February.
