New Snow Retention Products That Make Life Easier

Saving time and money on the jobsite appeals to every roofing contractor. This year Rocky Mountain Snow Guards has launched several products making it easier, faster, and more cost effective to add snow retention products to roofs. New Everest Guard EG10 and EG16 snow guard are constructed stackable for trouble-free handling on rooftops. The ultra-strong gusset-designed welded steel snow guards feature a pre-drilled strap that allows for easy nail or screw fastening.
“These are now our strongest, most reliable snow guards,” said Brian Cross with Rocky Mountain Snow Guards. “Best of all, the new stackable design makes it a simpler process for roofing contractors to carry these snow guards up on the roof, handle them during installation, and keep their project moving forward.”
Everest Guard EG10 is ten inches in overall length and designed for both new and retrofit roof installation projects. The snow guard can be used on metal shingle, cedar shake/shingle, synthetic slate/shake, and asphalt shingle roof types. The 5.8 inch strap features a versatile hole pattern so it can also be used in applications previously requiring a seven-inch snow guard. The pad area is 4.28 square inches.
The Everest Guard EG16, at 16-inches in length with an 11.8-inch strap, is ideal for new roof installation projects. This powder coated steel snow guard is designed for cedar and shake/shingle, synthetic slate/shake, and natural slate roofs. Also with a 4.28 square inch pad area, the stackable snow guards can be carried and installed easily on new rooftops. Both versions are stocked in dark bronze, black, and harbor gray colors.
Roofers dealing with standing seam metal roofs can now rely on the new cost-effective two-pipe Rocky Fence. Developed for new construction and retrofit projects, Rocky Fence gives another option when desiring the look and function of a fence-style snow retention system while delivering material cost savings.
The Rocky Mountain Snow Guards’ snow fence uses one aluminum bracket and two nominal one-inch aluminum tubes. The bracket bolts to a compatible S-5!® clamp selected for a specific roof panel and seam geometry. The snow fence system is available in mill finish aluminum or with a powder-coated finish, including dark bronze and custom colors.
Cross explained that Rocky Fence is not simply a lower-cost alternative snow retention product. “This two-pipe bracket design is stronger than the comparable Blizzard II system, providing greater strength while reducing product cost across the finish categories.”
