Auburn Tile Inc.
Auburn Tile Inc., one of the original concrete roof tile companies in California, has closed its doors after several decades of industry-leading service. The company began as Patten-Ketch Roofing Tile Co. and its 1958 plant created innovative roofing tiles. Udo Helferich purchased the company in 1978 and in 1990 it became Auburn Tile Inc. Throughout its legacy, Auburn Tile’s roof tiles were uniquely designed and styled to simulate the beauty found in natural slate and shake roofs.
