Columbia Roofing and Sheet Metal, a specialty roofing contractor in the Pacific Northwest and Southern California, has promoted Jake McMurchie to commercial roofing consultant. McMurchie has worked for the company for four years as an apprentice and foreman. In his new role, he will focus on providing customers with a superior project management leadership and service. Prior to joining Columbia Roofing and Sheet Metal, McMurchie worked as a fire fighter for several years. “The leadership skills I developed as a fire fighter helped me strive to be successful when managing projects and my crew,” said McMurchie.
Additionally, Jason Wells has been added to the sales team as a project manager, and he brings nearly two decades of construction industry experience to his new role. Most recently, Wells worked as a safety manager at G&W Commercial Interiors. He is OSHA certified and is working towards an American Society of Safety Engineers certification.
Also new to the Kent, Washington, office as well as the roofing industry is administrative assistant Shelly Jenkins. Most recently, Jenkins worked in the commercial property management industry where she assisted in managing 17 properties throughout the state of Washington. After taking some time off work, she is excited to learn a new trade and assist the sales team’s efforts in the Puget Sound area.
